Who are Anja and Kees
Anja and Kees met and – as it goes – tell each other’s dreams. Anja assured Kees to live in a sunny country within a few years and Kees dreamed of becoming a winemaker in France. As a golden middle ground they came to Piedmont, the northern Italian province for bon vivants. Driving there from Asti to Alba on their first vacation, the couple immediately fell in love with the phenomenal views of the Alps and Maritime Alps. Combined with Italian life full of good food and the world’s best wines, everything became even more perfect.
Anja and Kees are from Volendam and have a daughter Liz Jo-Ann.
Kees
I am Kees and have been an independent Procurement Consultant for quite some time and my hobbies are mainly sports-oriented (active: soccer, running, skating, skiing), a lot of fun I get out of giving running training. My other hobby is called wine, through a course I have immersed myself more in wines and now the Piedmont wines are favourites. My big dream is to rent out holiday accommodation in an authentic property.
Anja
I am Anja and I am trained awareness coach, I love cooking and running and i was born Volendamse raised with music. My years of experience in the hospitality industry have shaped me but also my experience in commerce has been important. This combination of experiences has made my dream, namely the start of an adventure in Italy, realized. Besides my regular work as a coach, mother of a beautiful daughter Liz Jo-Ann and wife of my wonderful husband Kees, I have many other fun challenges that I deal with.

Onze droom “Het openen van Our dream “To open an apartment complex in Italy”. een appartementen complex in Italië”. When we (my husband kees and I) went on holiday 10 years ago to the beautiful La Morra in Piedmont we were immediately in love with the region. This is where our complex must be located. After a search of years together with my husband Kees, we found our dream place “Casa in Bocca al Lupo”. After a thorough renovation, our dream came true in July 2018 and Casa in Bocca has already been opened for rental.
Unesco World Heritage Site
Besides world-famous wines such as Barolo, Barbaresco and Barbera, the SLOW Food birthplace and many local cheeses, the natural beauty is especially affected there: the hills full of vines with always impressive views of the Alps. The region has since June 2014 been placed on the Unesco World Heritage List. Above all, we enjoy the contacts with the inhabitants, bon vivants pur sang and not for nothing can we count many Piedmontsers among our circle of friends.
